IIRC the evacuation of New Orleans was based on driving out of town and most of the opccupants of the city did not have cars. Great plan guys. About the Republican norm.
Thanks for your beneficial post. It was most informative and helpful. Much appreciated.
Yeah, like every other post in this ridiculous thread.
People -- real human beings -- are at this very moment laying crushed beneath tons of concrete. Real human beings are slowly dying of starvation and dehydration. Real human beings are stepping over dead bodies that litter the streets everywhere. Fear, anxiety and anger are setting in while more people are dying every single second.
And here we have a bunch of asinine partisan bickering about hurricane Katrina, Republicans versus Democrats and friggin teleprompters.

It's shameful.
You are right. Unfortunately, it's the only thing many of us can do since we can't go over to Haiti to help.
But you did hit the nail on the head and I am guilty of it as well.
Airmen from the 621st Contingency Response Wing worked through the predawn darkness Friday to bring a sliver of order in the chaos wrought by the earthquake that has killed thousands here. They erected tents, established communication by satellite with planes and began to manage the first trickle of what is expected to be a flood of humanitarian aid. Staff Sgt. David Dumalo arrived Thursday morning as part of a 13-member team charged with assessing damage to the airport and what could be done to make it work efficiently.
But guess what? They didn't! Are you going to continue to post in thread after thread that the US response was too slow to your liking?
Surely there is some volunteer work you could be doing for some relief organization but instead, you would rather just sit back on the internet and criticize the efforts of those that are actually trying to help the people in Haiti.
I have stated before on a few other post that it is legally easier to deploy troops/help to foreign countries than it is to do so on USA soil.
Thats a fact Jack!

Pathetic to say the least.
But they should have! Which is pathetic - much like your post, which is off-topic..........
But again, they didn't. Why don't you sit back and let the people actually making an effort to help do so.
Off topic? Uhhhhh...okay Sport.
That's correct - they didn't, which is a fact...and a very sad failure that has caused an increase in loss of lives.
You act as though I am preventing people from making an effort to help. Very strange comment.
