I'd say it's a good 3/4's down in CA. Glad I'm out of their highschools there. The college I'm going to is just as bad though. 6 more months till Southern Illinois....

Some people just feel better being around ignorant others; makes them feel better about themselves [which is a pretty low bar]. Maybe they will eventually move to another country where all the people are illiterate & then really feel smart

Well, all of the illegal mexicans that flood CA are pretty illiterate...I hear they're pretty bad in the Pasadena area. Are those "ignorant others that make you feel better about yourself" the people you were talking about?
Well, you'd be wrong. I spent a miserable year of my life living in Georgia while in the military. I found the weather atrocious, the life style about 25 years behind the rest of the country, and the people either dumb crackers, racists, or both. There were white areas of the town where our black soldiers were told not to visit because their safety couldn't be guaranteed.
So you can take your south and place it where the sun don't shine.
So your opinion of the South is based on one year living in Georgia? Thats not retarded at all . Thats like saying you hate North Dakota because you had a crappy year in Wyoming, it makes no sense.

The "South" is only those states who tried to secede from America & lost big time. No other state wants to be associated with those losers
