Why can't society just accept that people come in all shades of sexual orientation?

Trying to "re-educate" gays to become hetero is just stupid and wrong.

I'm not aware of any "re-education" movement going on. sounds completely made up. maybe now that gays are becoming more accepted in society, 'closeted' gays are 'coming out' at a higher rate

I do believe that gay people can turn themselves straight again. It may be difficult, but it's not impossible.
