I would have liked to see this go through, but I guess we can run the POS shuttle a hundred more years.

Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

Fund it = wasteful spending.
Scrap it = letting the rest of the world "beat us in space."

Didn't Bush want us to go to Mars? Seriously.

The budget, according to one administration official quoted, will tell Congress that NASA won't be able to design programs just to create jobs in their districts. "That's the view of the president," the official said.
Try telling this to Defense Contractors, god damn.

My question is, what happens to all the money that has already been pumped into the Constellation program? Oh that's right...

I like the hard work NASA has done over the years and this gives me ANOTHER reason to vote for someone else next time. Obama...a one term wonder.

Interestingly, I just came from an Air and Space Law forum here in DC where one of the speakers was a head-honcho from NASA. She was very gung ho about the current lineup of space programs. Makes me wonder if she knew yet that one of NASA's biggest programs was set for the chopping block.

So much for inspiring the youth and emphasizing science, math and engineering.

When I was a kid in the 60s I thought we would be going to other galaxies by now. We stopped at the moon back then.

Apollo did more for the American people than any welfare program ever has, by actually doing something constructive rather than handing out checks for people to sit on their porch and sell crack.

Sad to see this go but we are bloated with debt and we have to cut everything. Maybe a few years down the line but not now.
