New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas border Mexico and have serious problems with illegal immigration and the resulting problems of poor education and crime. Nevada also has serious problems with illegals and poverty. Mississippi has many problems with education of the youth and this probably corresponds to the teen pregnancy rate.
As for the "best" states of Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Minnesota, and North Dakota, it's obviously too damn cold up there to even be enjoyable. That's probably a deterrence for teens
So basically, it appears that these are high Latino or African American states in the South and have teens with the moral value of not wanting to abort children.
Tons of teen pregnancies are probably not covered in other states, they just are not recorded becuse they end in abortions
So true. Abortion is cold-blooded murder, and there is NEVER ANY excuse for it.
I think saying there is never any excuse is pretty bold, what if a young woman was forced to have sex against her will and becomes pregnant does she not have a right to decide if she wants to carry the baby to term or not?
But there are Latinos all over the place. Florida, California, and New York are some of the top states for Latinos.
I watch Maury (don't laugh, lol), and it seems nearly all the teen parents are either black and from a bigger city, or white and from small towns with deep southern accents.
I wonder why??? Oh wait I know, because all 3 of those rank in the top for the highest abortion rates. At least people in the south have the decency to the own up to their mistakes and take responsibility.
Isn't New York named the "Abortion Capital of the World"?? I'm just saying.....
Isn't it easy to take a social issue and remotely correlate it to something that it has nothing to do with, no? It's not an issue of race/ethnicity, but a social issue.
Why don't you be fair and also show statistics about the abortion rates in California????

Those Open-minded Liberals.....
Talk about a huge non-sequitur. So we are talking about teen pregnancy rates, and then you drop some red-herring about abortion rates just to justify your unheeded belief to begin with. The problem with your theory is that there is absolutely no way to separate out those who had abortions who are under the age of 18 and those who are over the age of 18. What's next?
Then to top it off, you add some off-handed comment about political leanings. Kudos to you! Thanks for the mature conversation. Until you detail some kind of methodology proving your previous statements saying that

is in fact correct (separating out all the correlated variables that are relevant, such as poverty rate, crime rate, etc.), have some moretact.
so abortion rate apparently = teen pregnancy rate?
And who was it who's teen daughter got pregnant while running for vice president in 2008? Oh yeah, Sarah Palin. The baby daddy is even getting sued for child support now. Look at your role models!
Also, it's funny that you're whining about people not being open-minded, yet you're trying to force your own morals on others.

San Francisco has been trying to push their "morals" on people for years

Your right; I forgot to include that:
States ranked by rates of abortion among women age 15-19 (pregnancies per thousand):
I'm just saying; don't judge the southerners when you guys having issues much more serious than ours. Abortion is a much more serious problem than Teen pregnancy.
San Francisco has been trying to push their "morals" on people for years
It's funny how these people talk down on us "backwards" southerners, but when they are called out; they want to play the victim lol
