This is not MY opinion.
I have provided a link substantiate my statement.

Of 415 historians who expressed a view of President Bush’s administration to this point as a success or failure, 338 classified it as a failure and 77 as a success. (Moreover, it seems likely that at least eight of those who said it is a success were being sarcastic, since seven said Bush’s presidency is only the best since Clinton’s and one named Millard Fillmore.) Twelve percent of all the historians who responded rate the current presidency the worst in all of American history, not too far behind the 19 percent who see it at this point as an overall success.

Well his approval rating for the end of term was
Bush's Final Approval Rating: 22 Percent. That is the lowest ever approval rating for any president. Anyway several years before especially after the first year of his presidency I thought he would turn things better for the US but it turned out really wrong.

Cue the "academics are liberal sheep" crowd to discredit these professional insights and give more weight to passing political rhetoric they prefer to hear.

The story is FIVE years old and has been discussed here and discredited here NUMEROUS times..

I guess Obama gave a speach last night, time to bring out all the old "George Bush" threads and repeat them to distract from Obama..

I agree.. Since that time we elected a Democratic Congress, and then a Democratic President.

At least you acknowledge how bad things have gotten since they took over.

I wonder what those 77 historians would think of runaway oil prices and financial meltdowns crippling the global economy. Perhaps an updated survey is needful.
