Costs are high we all know this.
Generally most of americans have insurance.
If you have no insurance I think I have found the solution to the problem.
We dont want government running the costs, pricing and admin.
Lets the government do what they are good at.
Lottery.
Government runs and national lottery that you can VOLUTEER to be a part of its taken from your check and or you can play at any place we currently have lotteries. Costs 1 dollar just like most multistate lotteries work now.
50Cents goes the winner and 50cents goes to healthcare no insurance fund. The money will go to charities and most importantly this money will be from donations which is via the lottery no taxes here.
The winner of this lottery is tax free for life which gives people a good reason to play. I beat we can bring in about 2 billion in lottery money a year just from this.

This is not going to solve the pricing issues and costs but does help those who arent insured get some funding. All medical co-pays and medical costs out of pocket should be tax write offs.

And what about people who have chronic disorders and are without insurance? Do they just get to wait around, hoping they don't die or get worse, waiting for their name to be picked?

WHAT? The lottery is used to FUND the treatment of all Americans who dont have insurance.
Not a lottery to get treatment. This offsets the costs and comes from people donating to a system based on free choice and not taxes.

After all the biggest issue is mostly those who dont have insurance of which is partly because some are part-time workers or unemployeed etc.
Half the 1 dollar when playing the national lottery would go into a pot to help fund those bills from the un-insured.

Why not have a Medicare buy in or a voluntary single-payer system?
If you want private health insurance or don't want any insurance at all, that's fine.
If you want to be in a single-payer system, you can pay to be in it.

Power and Control, What an understatement, He seems to want control of it all! And it is happening.

LOL I took it that way at first too. I guess the thread header threw me off.

Irony! Gambling addiction likely would not be covered by any health care plan. hahahahhaaa
