Where was this insight during the 8 years the Left called Bush every name in the book?

Oh please.

Where was respect when Carter, Ford, Clinton and Bush Jr were in office?

Republicans, Liberals and Democrates alike have been verbally insulting and namecalling every president that sits in the Oval Officel; on the basis of their own partisan loyalties.

Of course Obama supporters got the nuance and the shorthand, that's why they didnt make a big deal of it.

You Volk tried to make a big deal of it because you didnt understand.

But spin and pretend all you like.

Nuanced? I like that, its like the nuanced way he insulted Vegas the last time, or the nuanced way he insulted the children who participate in the Special Olympics on Leno.

Oh yeah, in fact this guy is so nuanced that if you quote 0bama's words accurately, it would only lead people to believe he "acted stupidly".

So, if Obama said you should go to Vegas and blow your kid's tuition money there, you will clap and comply. Genius.

But then again these are the same Socialists that whine about government socialist programs and ideas and yet expect the government to fix everything while some are using socialist programs themselves. This latest whine fest is right on par with their typical agenda to whine about anything and everything the President does from whining about him putting his shoes on his desk, to how many times he mentions himself in a speech. Sad part is they think they are fooling others into their camp when in reality it is only their fellow sheep that are drinking the koolaid of hate they are handing out.

The president which is the spokesman for our government made a statement trying to tell people what to do with their own money. A conservative will not back the government trying to tell them what to do with their own money. Its not big governments concern, that is the conservative principle being discussed here.

No a conservative would not. its not up to the government to tell private citizens how to spend their own money. So a conservative would not applaud Obama telling them to spend their kids tuition money any more than having him tell us how to not spend our own money. from a Conservative view, what money that is not already taken by the government is our money, government should say nothing about how we choose to spend it

Its not nuanced, its not spin, we got it. 0bama was making the point that if you don't want to waste your money, don't go to Vegas, because going to Vegas is the epitome of wasting your money. 0bama could have just said don't go to Disney Land, or dinner at a restaurant, or watch a movie, or throw a birthday party, or go on vacation period. I'm sure Disney Land might have objected had 0bama used them as an example of money down a rat hole. At least in Vegas it offers you a chance to turn a profit or even to break even, but all those other activities are 100% money sinks.

But you know, there is no reason to save your money in the first place, 0bama is going to pay for your child's college tuition, so you may as well go to Vegas.

I'm mixed on this one.

Since having never been to Vegas and not a gambler, the remark flew right over as just another way Obama likes to preach to the people.

I was insulted only because I earn my money and should decide how to spend it. Why would I need financial advice from a person who spends other people's money and spends above the means of the people?

It's kind of distasteful advice coming from Obama. These are hard times, yes. Can we ask our Government to stop treating the White House like Vegas? Do they understand the risk in "doubling down" on their failures?
