LOL! All I said was a job is better than no job, public or private sector. And it appears you agree with me.
If...I'll say it again...IF the private sector is not creating jobs, then the government can play a role in stimulating the economy. That's what I'm saying, which is a far cry from the government supplying jobs "to every unemployed person in this country."
My point stands, it is the government's role to support the private sector, not take it over and expand the size of the government at a time when we can barely even afford the interest payments on the loans we already have.
So in your (liberal) view, it's the government's responsibility to employ all unemployed. Got it.
First of all I'm not a Liberal. I'm a Left-leaning Centrist who voted for Reagan.
Secondly, you're (as usual) overgeneralizing. It's the Governments job to help however it can. If that means employing people in the short run or paying out unemployment compensation then so be it. It's not intended as a long-term solution, but if that's what it takes, then that's what it takes. I don't think the Government should stand by idly as the American people suffer. That's why we have police departments, and fire departments and yes - unemployment compensation etc.

I agree, but though it may stand, your point has absolutely nothing to do with my point. Furthermore, as government has not taken over the private sector, it seems rather pointless to make your point in the first place.

you deserve to get flamed because all jobs aren't good jobs, you think an IT tech making 70K would belittle himself to take a janitor job at 1700 Pennsylvania Ave making 25k?

What you're saying is complete and utter nonsense and not worth considering. good bye!
Yes, I do. glad you asked. this is why I know with out a doubt Obama is a fraud.
Obama? Who mentioned anything about Obama?
Anyway, since you operate a business, I have a question. During tough times, should a business close shop or take out a loan (runaway wife with a credit card) to stay afloat?

Yup. As usual, the posters on the Right have a hard time not exaggerating everything. They seem to think only in black and white - if the government takes over partial temporary ownership of one or two auto companies then somehow they control ALL auto companies, if the government takes over temporary partial ownership of one or two banks then somehow they own ALL banks, etc, etc, etc. They just don't seem to understand the concept of moderation.
The fact is, the Private Sector has NOT been taken over by the government.
