I have seen several posts on CD saying that if we force insurance companies to cover preexisting conditions they won't be able to make a profit or might go out of business altogether.
My question would be, why would anyone put the profits-- or even survival-- of a corporation before the well-being and health of their countryman, friends and neighbors?

If the company goes out of business how will it be able to sell me its product, namely medical insurance?

That's a false choice. All and any of our countrymen can get health care, regardless of ability to pay. Corporations provide jobs for those who have none but are willing to work to be able to afford health insurance.

Health insurance doesn't equal health care.
It's possibly to have great health care without health insurance.
However, I prefer to have health insurance. Those who don't see it my way aren't forced to buy it.
