I understand the anger towards Walmart and producing slave laborers, but have any of you been to Detroit lately?
If nothing else, this is giving them a job in a place where otherwise there ARE NO JOBS. Many of these teenagers come from generational upon generational poverty and governmental aid (welfare)-this at least gives them a footing in another direction...perhaps.
This begs another question though: is this a sign of things to come? Are we headed towards becoming a service industry? Are we all to become low-level, low-paid replaceable service workers? Are Walmart type jobs all that will be left in the future for the average American?
