We're seeing the flip side of that right now all over this country. The ideology of the politician takes a back seat to what their constituents want.
That would be a sound argument except for the fact that he wasn't open about his homosexuality. If his own personal stance regarding homosexuality was that of acceptance then why wasn't he open about his homosexuality and why was he married to a woman with 4 kids! Obviously he was ashamed of his homosexuality and why he got married to a woman and had to sneak into a gay nightclub. He also had a male passenger with him as he left the nightclub.

Nice attempt..try again

Great - now he can be drunk, and blame the manufacturer when he gets into an accident. At least put him in a GMAC hybrid vehicle...

When are Evangelicals going to get a clue and realize that people are born that way.
thank you

I don't remember hearing from those Dems when Obama couldn't find anyone to appoint to his cabinet who had actually paid their taxes.

All Dems. You speak for them.

As for me, I feel one must simply laugh at the absurd. Regardless of who committed the absurdity. Incidently, I'm a Democrat.

Here's a pigeon. Go shove it in a hole.

I'm a Republican and I agree. This is more reason to abandon the Evangelical wing of the Republican party. All it's done has made us a laughingstock and created more Reagan Democrats as people don't want to be associated with our party.

Reminds me of the bishop and head of the German Protestant Church, who resigned about a week ago because she was caught driving under the influence

Since you bring up Evangelicals - the truth is that all people born of a man and woman have a sin nature inbred in us from birth. I will include homosexuality in that. Like any other sin, it can be enhanced or de-emphasized by our choices, environment, etc.

Haggard wanted this - that's why he did what he did above honoring his marriage.

We all fall short of God's glory - we all need a relationship w/ Christ to help us in this life - and more importantly the life to come. Sometimes the urge to sin can be more powerful than our allegiance to Christ - to our own detriment. Christ however remains faithful to us.
