Textbooks of every stripe carry lies, distortions, and omissions. Just because it's a textbook does not shield it from the extraneous views of the authors. Science textbooks are no exception, no matter who the intended audience is.

THank goodness that parents still have some voice over how their children will be educated by homeschooling. I suppose you'd like the gubmint to get it's grimey hands all over that too,

They are not your kids so butt out. Both are THEORY. My children are homeschooled and taught both. I believe in God but inform them this is something they will have to study and make their own decision what they will end up believing.

Yea, screw science and everything some of the world's smartest minds have spent their adult lives confirming. Let's go by what some fictional book written 2000 years ago with the sole purpose of telling people what to think says
Do they have this problem in Europe and Canada? If they don't and the right wins in 2012, the twista household will be up for sale...

The problem exists, but since less than 10% of the population in many of these countries would ever be at a sunday mass, it's not exactly as big of a deal.
