We demand a government that responds to the needs of the majority of its citizens as expressed by our votes and by our voices; NOT corporate interests as expressed by misleading advertisements and campaign contributions.
We want a society in which democracy is treated as sacrosanct and ordinary citizens participate out of a sense of civic duty, civic pride, and a desire to contribute to society. The Coffee Party is a call to action. Our Founding Fathers and Mothers gave us an enduring gift — Democracy — and we must use it to meet the challenges that we face as a nation.

Um....yeah, because the Tea Party people respect the original Boston Tea Party participants. What is the coffee party's excuse for imitating the Tea Party?

My point is that the Tea Party imitates the original Boston protesters because they respect them and have a common cause with them. The Coffee Party is imitating the Tea Party who they supposedly disagree with. The Coffee Party was founded on the idea that the Tea Party does not represent a majority of Americans. See now? Basically the Coffee Party is admitting by actions, but not words, that the Tea Party is, well, worth imitating.
The Coffee Party is nothing more than the left's version of the Tea Party. It was founded by an Obama supporter as a direct response to the growing movement of the Tea Party.
I'm sure it will find a measure of support. Certainly the media is far more favorable to this emerging group than they were to the "teabaggers". Pretty sure there's room enough in this country for both.
They had 30 people show up for a rally, another 8 at another.
Stop, I'm dying of laughter over here.
