I don't know why the poor immigrant can't take possession of the rear end of the unused portion of the main house and as their numbers swell they should have the right to push the owner out.
//Sarcasm off
Without property rights you have no rights at all.
A few years ago the Supreme Court said your property rights can be tossed aside if the local government wants to redevelop your block
What's the matter, you don't like diversity?
This will be America's future.
Uh...have you been to Greely, CO.? It already is America!
Obama is turning America in to this as fast as he can because he knows we will kick him and his family to the curb in 2012.

Not in Texas..we voted an amendment to protect individual property rights from blatant eminent domain. 81% in favor so it's part of our Constitution.
Here in Texas there is a healthy respect for one's property. A "No Trespassing" sign is all it takes and people know that and abide by it.
You are correct though in that it can be done and if the pot is sweet enough to local governments you can bet it WILL be done.

"The proposition will state in the constitution that governments in Texas are prevented from seizing private property and giving it to private developers to boost the tax base. "
Property rights really do not exist in "social democracies". People in the UK have no right to self defense, none. I recall a story about a granny who tried to fend off a burgler in her home with a garden gnome statue; she was charged with assaulting her attacker (in her own home).
This is the path down which we are being taken.
Look at the landowners on our Southern border who have been sued for trying to chase illegal aliens off their farms. Look at the abuse of eminent domain. Our property rights have dwindled as well.

I suspect this story has more to it. But just in case, they should get a big dog.
Laws are different in England. Here..trespassing is a criminal matter, not a civil matter.
From the link:
"A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said that the makeshift camps were not a criminal matter.
He said: 'Anybody is allowed to use reasonable force to stop people trespassing and get them off their property - much like a bouncer in a pub or club.
'If there is some sort of confrontation then we can step in and prevent a breach of the peace, but we cannot act directly against the trespassers.' "
Race baiting idocy. Just try shooting a trespasser on your property. In America! In all civilized countries you will be in a hell of a lot of hot water if you even shoot an intruder in your house! Better kill him if you do shoot him (in your house). If he is in your yard and you kill him for no other reason than he was offending your sense of proprietorship you have pretty much written your final chapter of the cushy part of the American Dream tale.
in the uk, no less. I thought they would have strong laws with regards to the protection of a citizen's private property. Wow!!
...groups of immigrants have moved into the gardens of at least six properties since november last year, leaving a trail of cider bottles, bags of human waste and drugs needles behind them....
I'll bet every lib on this forum is standing and applauding. This is what they want to turn the US into.
