If you read the news today, you'll find out that ACORN is on the verge of bankruptcy but the American Spectator is reporting what the mainstream media is not saying - that "OMB director Peter Orszag circulated a directive to federal agencies ordering them to begin funding ACORN again" despite the Congressional ban.

No mention of the OMB directive here:

Congressional ban for NO CRIMINAL WRONGDOING should be lifted.

So go back to supporting your oil companies and no bid military contractors while expressing faux outrage over a few million dollars going towards an organization that works to insure the poorest, usually black and Hispanic neighborhoods are registered to vote.

That they've become such an object of invective from so many is the more troubling and revealing story.

That, of course, is lost on you and yours

No I dont want my tax dollars going to a group of people that is willing to look the other way at people selling childrens for hookers. Also for having them in this country illegally. They might not have been charged because they actually didnt commit a crime but they were willing to commit it.

Had they stopped and told them they cant be any party of children being used as hookers then I would agree with you

The poor don't need ACORN..voter registration cards are at Post Offices.
Why not let the poor start acting more like they are NOT poor and function like other Americans.

Instead of funding ACORN, how's about the goverment just mail them all voter registration cards ?

The Rightwing Witch Hunt Against ACORN

Quote:
In December, the Congressional Research Service cleared ACORN of allegations of improper use of federal funding and voter registration fraud. The latest to weigh-in on the controversy is Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes. After a four-month investigation Hynes declared "no criminality has been found" with regard to the conduct of three ACORN employees in the infamous and--turns out--misnamed "pimp-prostitute" video.
In fact, a law enforcement source told (http://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny_crime/2010/03/01/2010-03-%0D01_bklyn_acorn_cleared_over_giving_illegal_advi ce_on_how_to_hide_money_f%0Drom_prostit.html - broken link) the New York Daily News that the unedited version of the video which caused all the outrage "was not clear."
"They edited the tape to meet their agenda," said the official.

Stop fostering the dependence. The poor are not helpless..they are just poor. But they keep on treating them like they are disabled shut-ins.
