I didn't believe it when the baggers warned us that this would happen, but apparently our family physician is one of the providers who will leave stop practicing health care because of this bill. This sucks, this guy has been treating our family for generations.
Interesting how fast news travels. Within 24 hours your doctor made the decision to quit his profession of 40 years, and already got word to you. Impressive.
As soon as he found out, he wrote a letter explaining his reasons and then faxed it to all his patients.
This place has so many liars, it's just embarrassing. They can't even lie well either...
I feel bad for them but we the people shouldnt have to subsides medical careers.
I didn't suggest we should. My comment is more for those who claim they are all TV doctors driving fancy cars and burning money to light their cigars. That is what drives people to think it is ok to dump on them and I believe a large part of why people tend to think it is ok to force others to pay for them. The "well they are rich, they should pay" is a tired argument, and often one driven of extreme ignorance.

God bless him and at least he made it to retirement. Now go find a socialist to treat you. I love gov run clinics, just love them and you will to!!!
Couldn't he do volunteer work taking care of all the Medicare patients that will be booted off of the money hungry doctors load?
Are you kidding? Where's the profit in that? I mean...uh...er...he uh...is so devastated by this new Commie health reform that he's unable to get up in the mornings.
If not, he'd have had at least another 40 years in him.
I was just on the phone with his office today scheduling my last appointment and was told by his staff that the entire practice is shutting down because his partner (who is his father) is retiring as well as a result of this health care bill. I don't see malpractice insurance being a big issue with primary care physicians, it's not like he's an obygyny or surgeon. Most of his patients have been going to him for decades, so it's unlikely they will sue him. In the case they do, this guy is loaded, he can easily settle out of court without taking a noticeable hit.
Gee! What kind of medicine does his father practice?
