"For decades the G.O.P. has been the party of fear, ignorance and divisiveness.

The G.O.P. poisons the political atmosphere and then has the gall to complain about an absence of bipartisanship.

The toxic clouds that are the inevitable result of the fear and the bitter conflicts so relentlessly stoked by the Republican Party — think blacks against whites, gays versus straights, and a whole range of folks against immigrants — tend to obscure the tremendous damage that the party’s policies have inflicted on the country"

The columnist couldn't have put it more truthfully. Basically Republicans are sub-Americans who claim to love God and county but do neither. They are truly the "ugly Americans" the rest of the country must hold their noses for the utter stench!

Wow. That Democratic class is shining through with this post.

Hypocrite. Racist too.

BTW, you want class? How about these gems:

Biden to Obama with an open mic "This is a big fuc&&ng deal!"

Perriello (D-Va) "If you don't tie our hands, we will keep stealing"

Anything Rahm Emanuel says.

I generally hate labels and have posted numerous comments to that effect. To claim that all Republicans are "anything" would be a fallacy. However, I do think that the Republican party has spent the last couple of decades pandering to the basest of human instincts, which has resulted in a lot of very classless people claiming the Republican party as their own.

The true character of a dyed-in-the wool liberal comes out. Intolerance for differing opinions, racism and classicism all in one outburst.
Thank you californio sur.

This is nothing more than a logical fallacy.

On this forum alone, the conservatives have shown MUCH more class than their liberal counterparts.

Yes, especially after the last State of the Union address.
