CNN Political Ticker: All politics, all the time Blog Archive - CNN Poll: Big shift on closing of Guantanamo Bay facility « - Blogs from CNN.com

Quote:
Washington (CNN) - Attitudes about the U.S. detention facility at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba have changed dramatically since President Barack Obama took office, according to a new national poll.

Shortly before Obama's inauguration, 51 percent of Americans said they thought the facility in Cuba should be closed. Now that number is down to 39 percent, and six in ten believe the United States should continue to operate Guantanamo.
More bleeding of Independents. I think after they saw how the Christmas Day bomber was handled, after they saw how Holder and obama have botched the trying of KSM in NYC, they have had about enough of their pollyanna rhetoric from the campaign.

Of course, it is the LEFT who will be very unhappy if Gitmo stays open for business.

Let lets get this straight.

We heard the left wingers whine like babies about Gitmo for 8 years. Then Obama promised to close it. ( NOT DONE YET ) He said it was one of the first things he was going to do.

Now, the majority of Americans see how Obama is aiding terrorist by giving them rights as Americans and want to keep it open?

So Obama made another mistake?

Obama ordered the KSM to be in NYC and we all know that was a huge mistake and the media is giving his mistake a free ride.

His decision making skills should have been improving by now with all the mistakes he has made but he continues to make them. Why?

We need to keep Gitmo open so we can have a place to send the terrorist and their left wing friends for aiding them.

Is there anything at all the majority of Americans agree with Obama on?

No. He is against the public on nearly every issue. We are a center right nation, he is a far left radical, so its not surprising. He fooled a lot of people, no doubt. The ones that know they have been duped are coming around. The ones that know they have been duped but are too intellectually dishonest to admit it, will forever stand by their man.

Good idea to keep Gitmo open!
If ObaMao closes Gitmo, the next Conservative/Republican President will just have to re-open it because we will need a place to keep domestic terrorists like Obama, Reid, Pelosi and the rest of the Democrat/Communist party that have done more to screw up America and undermine Our Constitution and Liberties than a dozen islamo-fascist KSM's would ever be able to accomplish.

We have prisoners in Gitmo.
We move the prisoners.
We close Gitmo.
We now have prisoners in other locations at a greater expense and potential higher security risk.

And the benefit is?

Oh yeah...a gold star for Barry

Where did these people, who are now changing their minds, think the prisoners would go ?

Just that they were too stpuid to realise they wanted to bring them here. It like the healthcare bill;no for it wanted to pay anything;charge the other guy. I don't want them here ;put them in the next state.Typical liberal viewoint.

Obama is self aware politician. he understands he can lie about things like this . He knows the blind people on his left he lied to will follow him like sheep going over the cliff. The sheep will follow because they do not care if he lies , he is not a republican. They do not care if he lies because his socialist agenda fits their needs. When Gitmo fit Obamas need he lied to his sheep. Obama understands he can lie to his sheep.
