For once the government SAVED money and you're happy ?
They could have done the same thing, and received an even larger benefit by giving them the subsidy, but not allow the corporations to write off the expense as their own.

Apparently, they don't want the government to save money. Makes sense when you look at the fiscal damage Obama and the Dems are doing to the country...

All I can figure is that they are anti-capitalist no matter what the cost.
Little do they realize those corporations create the jobs, not Obama and not Congress.

Except in the REAL world, doing that creates a substantial incentive for corporations to shift seniors into Part D plans.

Why do they need a job when Obama is going to give them everything for free?

They gave Big Business a massive handout they should not have had in the first place. Being able to write that stuff off was basically legalized Accounting Fraud.

You win the prize... you get to pay $1,209 per senior instead of $665.

It was part of the 2003 bill so not really fraud.
More like cost sharing between corp and gov.

3500 companies are doing this and all under a passed bill.

I don't have problem in giving to the corporations if they can do something cheaper than the federal government.

The govt can always do it cheaper due to a few advantages.

#1-------corporations aren't allowed to have printing presses to print money ( govt can)

#2-----corporations can't tap into employees 401( govt taps into employees SS contributions and uses it as general revenue)

#3---corporations can't assess shareholders and force them to pay in ( govt can raise taxes on its shareholders to pay for foolish spending )

With that huge of a disadvantage, it is strange why corporations even try to compete with the govt.
