Rush has fostered an entire movement of conservatism and conservative voices from Rush to Sean, to Dennis, (Miller and Prager), Mark, Glen and dozens of others. By being the voice of freedom, Rush does far more good, than as a politician. He is founderesque in his wisdom.
I am decidedly moderate. I'm sure all these people have said intelligent things at times (I have listened to most of them a little bit but don't make it a habit) and have ranted half baked, questionably supported, ideas at other times. The same goes for the more liberal side. This is the nature of talk radio. Opinions, ideas etc. being discussed. Interesting thing though...never in my life have I seen so many intelligent people in my circle of contacts, argue about the "truth". And never in my life have I ever seen the level of spin put on "facts".
It is quite unsettling for me. Especially at a time when it seems we need unity more than ever. I say stop the partisan carnage! It is unproductive and damaging. Are we truly interested in staying safe from our enemies? How will we do that when we are fighting ourselves? But then, I find myself humming Imagine by John Lennon a lot so maybe I'm just a dreamer...
Obama shows just how small a man he really is when he believes that he needs to attack and destroy a radio talk show host.
He's going to lose against Limbaugh. He needs to stick with attacking lightweights.
