Hopefully. I believe most people are only against it out of habit anyway. It's hard admitting you've been wasting your energy on something stupid.

No, as I said, this is a legality issue, nothing more. They had the appropriate paperwork to which gave the other legal right to represent and access personal issues of the other. This was ignored, that is the real issue. It matters not what there personal relationship was, it was a legal declaration that was ignored. This is the key to the issue here.

.....and if this couple had the right to marry with all the rights & benefits that are conferred by the federal government, then they wouldn't have to have the appropriate paperwork, which was willfully ignored by Sonoma County. If they could legally marry Sonoma County couldn't ignore that.

They won't shut up because they aren't treated fairly, and we all know it. Let's all live in the 21st century, some of the stuff conservatives say about gays is just plain stupid.

Thats bs. I'd be suing the county as well. Where is the ACLU when they're needed? This case must not be big enough for them. The dirty rats.

Wrong, they ignored legal contract. A marriage license is a legal contract. You are making rather large assumptions and have no proper support to your claim. If the issue was them ignoring legal contract, then they could have very well ignored a marriage license. You can speculate all you like, but you have absolutely no support to your position.

Because no matter what you feel or think about this subject, most of them, just want the same rights as you and me. They don't have that, and there are many, who have been with each other longer then some married couples, but the married couples have gotten divorce. You know it probably would not be like this at all, if they were allowed to be with the one they loved, and to finalize it. This here story was sad, and i am compassionate, believe it or not, i feel sorry that they have to live such a lie some of them, would you want to come out, if you were gay. Too much judgement about gays, when we relly need to put our efforts worrying about other more important issues.

Why don't you keep the love for your partner to your self. To be allowed to grow old and die together to be left alone with the person of your choice. To be respected. To be treated with dignity.

What was done that couple was elder abuse of the worst kind. Criminal charges should be filed.
