Look how obama and Biden celebrated Earth Day:

Obama Earth Day - Carbon Footprint of Air Force One - Wall Street Speech at Cooper Union | NYCAviation.com | Planespotting and Aviation Photography, Breaking Airline News, Aviation Discussion

Quote:
On a day when many Americans will be reflecting upon how they can reduce their impact on the environment, President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will board separate jets in Washington on Earth Day morning to fly 250 miles up the east coast to New York, where they will land at separate airports to attend separate events within a few miles of each other.
And what is the "environmental" impact of the above?

Quote:
The parallel visits of Air Force One (a 747/VC-25 aircraft) and Air Force Two (a 757/C-32A aircraft) will delay dozens, if not hundreds of commercial flights at Kennedy and LaGuardia and other nearby airports as no-fly zones are implemented.
Circle and burn, baby, burn all that jet fuel!

And when they deplane, what is waiting for them?

Dozens of gas-guzzling SUVs to carry the entourage of obama and Biden, maybe a helicopter or two and don't forget the Jets flying around the area. Now, as they make their way to their separate destinations, can you imagine the commuters stuck in traffic jams, burning even more fuel and carbon as they wait for The One to pass?

Very Earth friendly, wouldn't you say?

You drive a Hummer? Are you compensating for something?

Do the same people (if any) get upset over National Cucumber Day too?
Only Republicans celebrate that day, and they tend to do it together.

There is a difference between being responsible about the environment and worshiping mother earth. I do what I can to conserve but I'm not going to worship nature.
