The real story is how some on here continually blast the evil Bush/Chaney because "they" awarded no-bid contracts to evil Haliburton. You know Chaney's old company.

They would never recognize that the Clinton admin also awarded no-bid contracts.

It was always Chaney helping his old buddies.

So now we have the Obama admin doing the same thing.

Some will never cease to criticize Bush/Chaney no matter what data is supplied.

Did you read your own article?
"The Army announced its decision yesterday only hours after the Justice Department said it will pursue a lawsuit accusing the Houston-based company of taking kickbacks from two subcontractors on Iraq-related work. The Army also awarded the work to KBR over objections from members of Congress, who have pushed the Pentagon to seek bids for further logistics contracts."

"The lawsuit is the second government action this year against KBR."

"The Army, in its statement yesterday, said putting to bid an order for 18 months’ work and making the transition to a new contractor would cost at least $77 million. The KBR work order will be awarded by Aug. 31, said Mike Hutchison, deputy director of Army logistics contracting."
I really dont know why the mods dont watch these misleading thread titles and OPs better, they fool people who dont read and cause a tremendous amount of misunderstanding. (Unless that's their purpose.)

What is misleading?

The government, under obama, awarded a no bid contract to Hall/KBR and we have nary a peep from the leftists who were frothing mad when the Bush administration did the same.

Well, you should read the article too, I guess, as well as brush up on the difference between "the government" and "the Pentagon."

Don't worry. Soon a leftist will say it's the "evil" Cheney's fault! Cheney is behind it all!

Obama should have fired the collection of 3 and 4 star PR shills that passes for US generalship.

But the right is right--he's too weak to be an effective leader.

Awarding a no-bid contract to a company with a long history of bribery and fraud proves that.
Well said!
From an previous military grunt who served in the armpit known as the Middle East I can agree with most of the post.

Let's keep in mind another best kept secret that brought your statement to reality. Many of the support MOS's or REMF jobs that fed and ran our military supply were disbanded during the 90's by Bush Sr's other son, not Jeb, but Bill. Bill Clinton.

Neo Con? Yes. America has had a Neo-Con style of government since WWII in some sorts or another, though it was put on hyperspeed by Bush Sr., and his 1,000 points of light New World Order stance in 1988, only to be followed by his adoptive and actual sons to follow. Obama for the most part is no different only in the fact that he would rather continue the NWO Neo-Con stance on a world level while working to mold himself into a Roosevelt / Johnson twin on a domestic front. But then again, when you have a leader with a God Complex as large as his what do you expect.

I said it in 2009 and still say it now. McCain / Obama the only difference is age.

The Pentagon is not part of this administration?

The government and the Pentagon are not controlled by obama?

Are there no depths low enough that the Left won't go to in attempting to absolve obama of the same "crimes" they tarred and feathered Bush for?

I think it's just as wrong under Obama as it was under Bush.

Care to direct us to the posts showing your outrage when Bush was sending out all those no bid contracts?
