When you can post that we have had 52 consecutive months of job gains like Bush has then come back and talk about how great things are.
Please add the numbers of government jobs that tipped the scale somewhat for a few people to be doing the happy dance.
After 6 months of record foreclosures and bankruptcies it is nothing to be happy about that we was able to gain a few low paying jobs here and there.
Right now, this admin is 9 million jobs in the hole.
I just do not see Obama ever having 52 consecutive months of job growth like Bush did, he does not have it in him and does not know how to do it anyway.

Ahh lying about 9 million again I see. BTW Bush had the single WORST job record of any President since the data was counted by the BLS in 1939. Not only worse than every other two term President, worse than those who didn't have two complete terms, worse than those who served only one term, and worse than those who didn't even serve a full term. Worse than EVERYONE.
I mean, the thing about Bush was that yeah his policies led to short term job growth. They also led to the collapse of our economy. So you're gonna blame Obama? Give me a break lol.
I want to travel back in time to 2003 and stage a tea party, I really do. Except I was in high school then and, ew, high school.
10 year trend below - the recovery looks good.
In Bush's 8 year run he had a 45 month (almost 4 year) streak with no month-to-month job loss.
Thanks Gary,
That was the bigger picture, longer trend analysis that you saved me from digging up to point out some things.
First, take a look at the trend that was inherited in January 2001 - it was the same downward slope that the short term graph is showing. So I guess the last president inherited a downward trend. I wonder if the spike from two presidents ago was caused by census jobs too.
Second, the real question is whether the sustanted period of job growth that the chart shows during the 2000's will continue as the last one did for many years. The jury is out on that one.

The downward trend in 01 was no where remotely close to the downward trend we were facing when Obama took over. With January going to the previous President (since they are President for 2/3 of the month and no one will have influence over 10 days. Bush took over with a 353,000 job total gain in the previous three months, Obama took over with a 2,180,000 job total loss in the previous three months. The situations they took over is not even remotely comparable.
As far as Clinton and the census related jobs, if you look back at his entire Presidency you will see that isn't even remotely the case. During Clinton's 8 years in office 22,744,000 jobs were created, during Bush's 8 years in office a total of 1,080,000 jobs were created. A difference of about 22-1.
