Finally somebody has managed to describe the Obama White House group as I have seen them for sometime. Just calling them out is enough to make me happy and it has been done.

rofl human events...
right in their banner "Leading Conservative Media since 1941"
I guess that's fair and balanced for ya...........
Do you teabaggers just search the net for anything anti-Obama?
Atleast the seniors are becoming PC literate you can thank Obama for that......

I thought that reading that would be a bit too hard for a lefty but there is always a chance that one will take a chance.
Yes Obama and his group are a very secular-socialist machine and they are trying to eliminate anything not secular. Why don't you read that article and see if it is really so bad?

So, the Newt equates the Liberals with the Nazis and Communists, and yes, I am sure that is exactly what you believe.
Note: Wasn't Newt part of that failed Republican leadership he speaks of? Interesting to see a Repub try and remake themself. Don't get me wrong Newt can make sense at times but in the article he seems to be doing more pandering to the far right than proposing new ideas. Before you go off, yes I did read the article and his "suggestions" are more of the same trickle down economics that have shown they are do not actually work as expected and allowing the buisnesses to regulate themselves is what got us where we are today. All for fewer taxes and a flat or consumption tax would solve that issue and bring in more money, giving the rich big taxes breaks is not the answer, giving everyone that pays taxes a break is.

Why to people continue to ecquate Nazism with Socialism? Because some wingnut rag or pundit says so?
Roy:Nazism and socialism is not, repeat, not the same. Though the Nazis called themselves the National Socialist Party, they were not socialist, nor were they communist.

Please read the history of the Nazi party.
I failed to glean that comparison/equation from either roysoldboy or the author. Gingrich simply asserted that secular socialism was as dangerous to our society as either the past threats of communism or fascism.
As for roysoldboy's knowledge of the history of the Nazi party,....he may have written the book.

I see Nazism in the assertion. Hitler had the same sentiments that Newt holds. And Hitler also said...
"The great strength of the totalitarian state is that it forces those who fear it to imitate it"
Just what the whole premise of the OP is based on.

I don't see that in the piece at all, but of course I read it with an open mind.
