I really have to disagree with you on this.

How did appointing lobbyists, have anything to do with the economy?

How did banning all earmarks, have anything to do with the economy, especially when he made this statement in January 2009?

How does having C-SPAN cameras at the health care discussions he was apart of, have anything to do with the economy?

How did, sunlight before signing, have anything to do with the economy?

How did no-bid contracts, have anything to do with the economy?

Your logic fails on all accounts.

Edit: And I have not even brought up getting our troops out of Iraq or closing Gitmo, both of which have no barring on the economy.

I read the LOADED thread title. I do agree that he should be doing a hell of alot more but usually these threads are started by people that thought Bush was a good or decent president----AKA IDIOTS!

I was actually talking about her, not him when it comes to the clicks, not ticks. Also it took 8 years to destroy a country. Why would you think that it would take less than 2 to dig us out of this tremendous hole?

He seems to be doing fine to me. He promised to use government as a tool to restabilize a market that had grown wildly too loose and he's doing that quite effectively. Jobs are being created in the market, businesses that were on the brink of collapse (and risked dragging millions of jobs down with them) are turning profits, health care that begins to catch us up to the developed world, the most comprehensive Wall Street reform...

A few white lies and several promises yet to be realized in his year and a half, but generally he's doing precisely what he said he would when we voted for him. Good on him.

Precisely what he said when he said that he would fundamentally change our society. He is doing that very well with the help of people who believe he is telling the truth.

Sir, as we have discussed previously, your ability to discern reality from fiction has been distorted by a very powerful conservative media propaganda machine that preys upon those unwilling or unable to think for themselves.

When you free yourself of that bias, then perhaps we can engage in a meaningful discussion. As it is, what you see as fundamentally changing society is simply traditional liberalism that created many of our greatest presidents - from Lincoln to FDR, Kennedy to Clinton. If the current course of straightening out the failures of the past administration continues, no doubt Obama will join those ranks.

Will it really matter what he does if we are $19 trillion in debt in eight years? We just might look back and wish we had allowed those greedy SOBs on Wall Street to have gone belly up, rather then mortgage our financial futures to keep them wealthy, and living in their ivory towers.
