Bizarre Kentucky Republican congressional candidate and Tea Party favorite was condemned by RNC chairman "Unca Mike" Steele who said that "... his philosophy is misplaced in these times," regarding Paul's interview where he questioned the wisdom of the landmark 1964 Civil Rights Act, which barred businesses like restaurants from banning blacks.
Stung by the reaction to these and other weird statements, Paul bailed out of a scheduled appearance on this week's Sunday TV program Meet The Press, where he would have faced questions from journalists who are from outside of the fringe groups where he is comfortable.
Meanwhile the failed ex-governor Sarah Palin, a GOP favorite in the 2012 presidential race, said Paul is the innocent victim of journalists with "an agenda."
Ain't it the truth. They can't stop being fearful of Palin, it seems.
Roy we have been over this already. I want her to take over the GOP. I want her with every bone in my body to be the GOP ticket. I also want her to pick Glen Beck Or limbaugh or Hannity as her VP. You guys think they are so great put your money where your mouth is and send them to DC to battle the O and Pelosi.
M. Steele what a joke. He cant even defend his own people when the racist tea party attacks them. They want to go to a GOP convention and he has to stay at a different hotel and eat at the back of the restuarant. He has to say thats ok to remain in the party. He is a walking talking scared shell of a black man. Thats why the repubs keep him around.
