The GOP launches Americaspeaksout.com...and apparently the GOP wants them to speak, but has already said outright they're not going to listen or do what they're being asked to do.

"In terms of someone who wants to come on and make suggestions on how to raise taxes for example, they are welcome to do that but that is not something we are going to take up," said Rep. Peter Roskam (R-Ill.)
"The key is to remember that we are focusing on... settled principles," he explained later, "in so far as smaller government, more accountability, more transparency and so forth. That is not news necessarily. What is news though is the invitation for Americans to submit their questions and answers within that framework."
So Americans should just be overwhelmed that the Grand Ole Party will even allow you to submit ideas directly to them. They should not be expected to actually act on them though.

Too funny. It's exactly what got them out of power in '08. I'm actually enjoying the folly though. I hope they keep on keepin' on!

you are a misinformation drama queen. It doesn't say what you said it says. It gives an example that if someone chimes in on how to RAISE taxes they are free to do so, but they aren't going to take that up. DUUHHH!!!! It is not their platform to raise taxes, of course they won't act on that..... Man can you guys spin stuff into baloney.

Ok, I give... I now propose all liberals be rounded up and put in German concentration camps... According to the OP, the GOP would be bound to "take that up" as a viable option!!!

And why not? What else is the point of this website but to take up issues brought up?

So you think they should take up the issue of all liberals being sent to a Germany concentration camp?

It depends if concentration camps are a part of republican agenda, or tax structure of this country is. What do you think?
