Polanski hasn't moved next door to Palin although it would be funny if he did.
And McGuiness has NOTHING to do with Polanski.
Palin could have avoided all of this attention by declining the 2008 VP nomination - in that case nobody outside Alaska would care about her. But her personality is such that she craves attention just like other celebrities.
Polanski is still (unbelievably) respected in Hollywood circles.
Why is it so hard to believe? If you'd seen any of his films you'd know why he's respected.
There is no 'rational' defense to this type of journalistic endeavor. Family privacy and the individual sanctity of one's private property and home should not be exploited by unwarranted and unauthorized contact by a journalist. The vast majority of Americans side with Sarah on this issue. The Democratic Party/MSM supporters of McGinniss should be aware of the political fallout of their implicit encouragement of McGinniss's conduct toward the Palins.
If Joe McGinniss wanted to write an unauthorized biography, he could certainly do that without moving in next door to the Palins. In fact, it’s hard to figure what Joe McGinniss would learn from that kind of physical proximity that has anything to do with politics or activism that couldn’t be learned through regular research and footwork.
It still seems creepy to me, and slightly pathetic. If this guy and his publisher are so well-thought-of, why such a low class move?
He's trying to ruin Palin's rep. But it looks like he messing up his own name.

So if person A is a pervert, unrelated person B is a pervert?
Hard to argue with that "logic"
//'cause it ain't.
Give him a break. You've got to admit the names Joe McGinniss and Roman Polanki sound and look so very much the same so, of course, that means they are both perverts.
