Just heard about that on the radio, terrible. But I guess your explanation is not correct, actually the perpetrators don't consider that specific type of Islam real Islam.
Still, that's no excuse whatsoever.
What a peaceful, progressive religion they are! I can see why the liberals like them so much more than evil Christians.

"Authorities in a devoutly Islamic district of Indonesia's Aceh province have distributed 20,000 long skirts and prohibited shops from selling tight dresses as a regulation banning Muslim women from wearing revealing clothing took effect Thursday.
The long skirts are to be given to Muslim women caught violating the dress code during a two-month campaign to enforce the regulation, said Ramli Mansur, head of West Aceh district.
Islamic police will determine whether a woman's clothing violates the dress code, he said."
i dont think islam has a monopoly on bloodshed but i think the line that gets crossed is when a mosque or christian church begins to preach hate and violence from the pulpit. rev wright watch yourself!!!.
I wonder when decent Muslims down there finally say to those cavemen that it's enough.
