That's way below the 46 percent approval rating Obama receives nationally among independents, according to the latest Gallup poll.

The president also is having trouble with Latino voters. Just 47 percent of Texas Hispanics give Obama a favorable rating, with an identical number disapproving of his performance. That's far below the president's numbers with other key Democratic constituencies, including liberals and African Americans.

In an age in which poll numbers change daily, how is a poll from last February relevant?

Oh, not to pile on, but the AP is a disaster...with a big D.

AP Poll: Obama at new low for handling economy - Politics - msnbc.com

Hot Air » AP poll shows Obama at 41% on economy

Quote:
He only does slightly better on joblessness (43/51) than on the economy (41/56). Obama is also underwater on the budget deficit (37/56), health care (45/53), taxes (42/50), and immigration (39/51).
Double ouch!

Alexis de Tocqueville noted more than 150 years ago that the American public was slow to come to a conclusion, but once it did, it was very difficult to dislodge it. The majority opinon today? "Enough!"

There's no way he could get enough electoral votes today to win if his opponent was a poodle dog.

I'm calling it right now --> Palin in 2012!!!

Palin is more cheer than leader--settle for a dumpy old pro like Haley Barbour, or somebody with more policy background like Sen Corker or the Indiana governor.

Although Palin would be very, very good compared to what we have now.
