Changing License plates (sales, inspection, sales tax)

If you plan on changing your out of state license plate for a Florida plate, it is a liitle expensive. Everyone starts off at $225.00. Then it costs $125.00 for a Florida title. The license plate runs anywhere from $55.00 to $80.00 depending on which plate you pick. They have a large varitey of plates. The plate is renewable by your birth date. So if your birth date is in June, try to wait until June to go for your registration. I did mine in March and paid $80.00 Then I find out I have to renew it in June for another $80.00. Wish someone had told me, I would have waited until June to register it. If you haven't owned your car more that 6 months, you will have to pay the difference between your state's sales tax and Florida's sales tax. Then that's about it. And you don't have to get an inspection sticker in Florida.
