Seems with Home Town email and any new IPhone 4, 4s or 5 you can receive emails but cannot respond to them with you IPhone.
Anyone question HTC about this? All my settings are correct. Very strange!
Guess it's time to dump their email system and go with someone else.

If anyone has found out the reason let me know. I tried talking to them but there is not an intelligent one among the bunch. Nice when you have a captive audience. Sure wish we had Comcast

it depends on your carrier -- IS it Hometown or aol.com / gmail or someone else? You made need to change you setting on your phone. Call your carrier.

I didnt/don't think that Hometown was/is a carrier for cell phones

I use Home Town for my home email and set it up on my android which I just turned in so i know Home Town provides service.
HTC does not work in the sending mode from the IPhones. I can receive emails on my Iphone 5 but cannot respond to them on the IPhone. The settings on the phone are the same as the computer and were taken from the other phone so I know they are correct.
I am going to go there this week to see what the problem may be.

In your shoes I'd set up an email with gmail. I've had it for at least at least 6 or 7 years and has always been easy to take with me. No risk of losing it when changing ISP providers or moving.
