My wife and I should be in the Vero Beach area around the first of May. Our plan is to rent short term while we search for a home. If possible, would like to keep it at about $800-900 per month. Any suggestions?

If I were you, I'd consult a realtor. If you get in touch with one now, they can help you find both a rental house AND a home you can purchase. I recommend a member on here- FlaLadyB. She may not be able to assist you in Vero, but she has been in the business for a long time and knows a lot of realtors in the surrounding areas. Good luck!!
