who's responsible for cleaning this place? There's been a pile of trash laying there on the grounds for literally months. Don't they have some kind of cleaning crew for these places

How about you? I always, always pick up trash when visiting Jensen Beach. Since you visit the causeway I nominate you.

^^^, it's certianly not required of you but it would fall under community service , helping others and beautifying areas you enjoy
I've been there and the Stuart Cuasway parks when the County Dept of Corrections has a crew of inmates cleaning those park areas .

No need to take it home, just looked at a few pics I have and there's trash cans at every pavilion on the south side that faces Stuart Causway bridge !

Glad to see that they got most of the junk boats out of the water on the south side of the causeway. That was an eyesore for years.

Park Patron,

We would like to thank you for your recent letter bringing to our attention an area of concern in one of our parks. It is always our intention that our patrons have an enjoyable and memorable experience when visiting our parks and beaches and return often.

We do our best to ensure that patrons like yourself who visit and use our parks can do so knowing they will be clean and safe. While putting safety at the top of our priority list we sometimes don’t have the ability to do other tasks in a manner as timely as we would like. We are currently working on getting some new trash receptacles for the island parks that will help to contain the trash better than the ones we have now. The wind and wildlife are also a big contributing factor of litter that is scattered in our parks, although not the only cause. It is our intention that this and other changes we are making in the department will help us be more efficient in the future with the maintenance and service in our parks and beaches.

We hope this incident will not keep you from visiting our parks and beaches as we value you as one of our patrons and look forward to you visiting us again in the future.

Best Regards,

Steven Monteith
