I'm coming to Portland, later this week. I see the weather is going to be in the low 70's/mid 50's at night. I'm not sure if 70 there is colder than 70 where I'm from (based on humidity, wind temp., etc), so how should I pack, clothing wise? I figured I would just bring mostly jeans, with some button ups, and a coat for night, or is it still shorts and tee shirt weather?

no sure where your from, but it was humid today and definitely shorts and tee shirt weather. The humidity is supposed to blow out of here tuesday though. That being said, Jeans and button ups should be fine. Bring a pair of shorts and tee just in case its warmer than expected during the day. That happens a fair amount it gets warmer than they predict. Do bring a jacket or sweat shirt though if your going our on the water. Enjoy your trip.

In this region we have had mid-70s during the day and mid-50s in the evening for the past month.

We have two window fans running to keep the house ventilated, and I wear a t-shirt and jeans. I see a lot of other people wearing t-shirts and shorts.

If it actually got down to 50F I might shift to a long sleeve shirt.

I wear shorts & a T-shirt, even at night, and I'm still often hot.

One of the ladies I work with (who grew up in Colorado) is already wearing sweaters and complaining of the cold.

It all depends on what you're used to. I don't usually start wearing a jacket regularly until at least mid-October. But for the past two years, on Halloween it was so cold that even my kids said, "Enough candy. We're freezing. Let's go home!"

Well, I live in Oklahoma, and we're just nowing coming off a record heat wave, with the majority of our Summer being 100+ degrees, every day. So I imagine that the 70 degree and below temperatures that I'm seeing forecasted for this weekend will be fairly cold to me, considering I'm acclimated to the heat. I'm hoping that it seems cold, though, because I'd really love to wear a sweater, at this point.

i love these window fans.... if you have decent shade over the house, keeping one of these fans on keeps the room nice and cool all day long.

I wear tshirt and shorts during the day, and depending on the night sometimes change into pants and a long sleeved shirt.... only change if we are going out somewhere like the fair the other night, or going outside for something, dont need long sleeves or pants for inside the house.
