From Beaverton/Raleigh Hills/Tigard going downtown on I217 and I26 in the morning (7am)?

From Tigard/Metzger area going downtown on I5 in the morning (7am)?

From Beaverton/Raleigh Hills/Tigard going to OSHU on I10 in the morning (7am)?

From Riverwood area going to OSHU/downtown on I43 (7am)?

From Beaverton going to OSHU on I10 (7am)?

I've lived in Anchorage, Alaska, and Phoenix (Glendale), Arizona, and communed 8-10 miles from home to work/school which took me typically 15-20 minutes. I'm sure the mechanics of Portland is no different but I need to make sure.

Highway 10, isn't an innerstate, so it's just hwy10 or the BHH. It's almost always going to be faster at rush hour than 26, I believe. Esp. to get downtown and/or OHSU. Taking Barbur most of the way will also be quicker than I-5.

Raleigh Hills to OHSU would be your best bet. (ie Beav. Hillsdale Hwy to Terwilliger.) Even at 7am you're probably talking <30 minutes to pill hill.

The other commutes get much worse. Tigard via 217 and 26 would be the worst. Just the metered on ramp lights will burn up 30 minutes and the rest of the commute will be another 30 minutes.

Traffic builds up exponentially after 6 am.

~45 minutes from Beaverton to Pearl District along 26. @ 7:15am

~45-60 minutes from Beaverton to Tigard along 217. @ 7:15am

TripCheck.com usually has accidents and road closures posted pretty quickly. But honestly, an accident on either of those roads has never delayed me more then 15 minutes in driving both routes (going both ways) in over 10 years.

I was burning the midnight oil researching apartments last night.

I drive highway 10 from the Cooper Mountain area (south of Aloha, west of Beaverton) to an office at the foot of Pill Hill. I leave at 7:10 or so to arrive at work at 8am.

Driving to downtown Portland sounds like it's a pain in the arse on the Hwy 26 and 217 coming from Beaverton area and beyond. Hwy 10 and SW Barbur Blvd seems like a decent commute coming from Raleigh Hills area or south west area of 97219 driving to OSHU. ***Does this sound correct?***

Yes, however a lot of it depends on what part of OHSU. Pill Hill isn't too bad but there's not much employee parking up there. I think most employess have to park in special shuttle lots or take the tram from the waterfront.

What's the traffic like driving north to OSHU/downtown on Hwy 43 (SW Riverside Dr) coming from Riverwood in the morning?
