We (PORTLAND) have four distinct seasons.

1. Wet and Grumpy,

2. You might get wet but your OK because the days are getting warmer and longer

3. Not wet and you're Happy,

4. You're probably going to get wet and chilly but you're still happy because you haven't realized the wet season is right around the corner*.

The Wet season lasts nine months.

*Seasons may vary from the above discriptions.

Most people typically wear one piece snow suits and cowboy boots in the winter, but in the summer you can get away with nothing but a sears poncho and a ski mask.

I'm sure there's some comedy board out there that'd be more appreciative of smart-aleck comments. Look, the guy comes here asking for advice. Is it too hard to do that?

To the OP ... Portland's weather is pretty temperate. It's not too cold in the winter, and not too hot in the summer. But a lot will depend on what you're accustomed to. If you're from a hot climate, you'll probably find it colder than I do. Your best bet is to be prepared to layer your clothing. Nothing too heavy, and a rain-jacket is a must. Hooded, preferably.

You know, you could post your comments without chastizing people.

When you get up on the wrong side of the bed 365 mornings a year, it's hard to smile.

What happened to your promise to ignore me?

How funny, though, that you think it's okay to chastise me for chastising people. And without offering anything else that belongs in the thread. The poor poster obviously wanted some information, and as usual in this Forum, the jerks just used them as the butt to a joke. I'm tired of it.

The seasons in Portland are:
  1. cold and wet
  2. cool and wet
  3. warm and wet
  4. OMG its hot! (3 days to 8 weeks)
  5. cool and wet

Your opinion may or not resemble mine. Many longtime residents may concur. Purely tongue in cheek. The gray days can get you down if you don't plan for it.
