Hi all,

I know there's a million post about this, but hoping someone can help me out in where to start specific to my needs. I would really appreciate it, so thanks ahead of time if you're willing to respond!

I have a job and will be relocating. I have no idea where to start looking for housing. Here are some things about me:

I am looking in the NE area to be close to the airport and Gresham (my partner will be going to school there).

I would like a home in a neighborhood that doesn't have a lot of kids. I would prefer a neighborhood with couples in late 20s-40s.

We want to be near parks, walking/bike trails, restaurants, bars, farmer's markets, dog parks, etc. We love food, are vegetarians, and want to have some space to garden.

We would love a 3 bedroom with a little space out back, in the $1100-1500 range.

Thanks, again, and would love any help in moving to your fine city!!

Personally, I'd look out towards the river, around Troutdale or Wood Village, if I was looking in that area. Troutdale has a lovely little city center. There's a huge off-leash park just north of the freeway, too.

I'm a little confused by this statement. I think most places that have couples like you describe will also have kids. To me though seems like families are spread out all over the city, and not necessarily concentrated in the 'burbs or certain neighborhoods, like in some other big cities.
