Did a quick search on "drive downtown", and didn't see what I was looking for.

How long does it take to drive from Hillsboro to downtown Portland during rush hours?
If I need to arrive between 8:30 & 9:00am, what time should I leave Hillsboro?
Also any recommended parking near Main & 12th Ave?

TIA

Google Maps says 30min to 55 min for a 9:00AM arrival. I used my old address near the Courthouse as a starting point. Some Hillsboro exits to 26 take 10 minutes and some you get right on. There is no rhyme or reason that I was ever able to discern but, full disclosure, I am a very car light person that only made those runs once or twice a year. Some people take Baseline Road or Cornell Blvd until well east of Hillsboro before getting on 26. 26 is known to shut right down at the edge of town. I personally would allow an extra 30 min to the Google times if it is a job for which punctuality is mandatory. Yep, that means up to 90 minutes. MAX takes about an hour and you can read, sleep or catch up on Game of Thrones, none of which is advisable to do while driving in. FWIW.

Google is usually pretty reliable for driving times in the metro area. You can do similated commutes from any place in the metro area to downtown just by routing them on google maps for the time of day you are interested in. It's a good tool to use for considering different neighborhoods. You can even do biking, walking, and transit times. Make sure you route from the actual address of the house not from the city in general because often the congestion is at both ends.

Thank you for the responses.
We left around 7:45am, and arrived around 8:35.
Most of the congestion was near the RT-217, and then the zoo on-ramps.
