Have you experienced a big increase in your auto and/or home insurance from 2018-2019 (and nothing has changed)?

Mine just went up approximately 35%, which is crazy to me! But before I switch companies, I was just wondering if everyone has been experiencing this - since I'm sure that's the reason PEMCO will give me. I can undersatnd with increased population, but it's not like we spiked last year or anything (that I know of). I'm used to small increases, but this huge jump seems outrageous.

Mine went down in 2019 because I added umbrella coverage and got a bundle discount. I'm using Ameriprise through Costco.

No, just the 'usual' increases that are in the 5% range.

Would that be on my bill from last year? If not, I'll have to look it up on the county website. I believe it went up, but that's been normal for the past few years.

That shouldn't really affect your homeowners insurance though. It's about fixing a damaged home not replacing it with one down the street.

That's good to hear. I hate their generic response as to why my insurance went up so much. Y'know, secret algorithm and all
