More dangerous than running with scissors. If you are going to chase and stab somebody in Portland, always make sure to wear your belt:

That was not the message of the segment. Schnitzer hasn't solved the homeless problem by a long shot. He just bought the building the county wanted to sell and turned it into a resource center. The county didn't want to pay for that.

The segmemt seemed to blame the county and took the mayor's side. The mayor wants something like what San Diego has, but the county is blocking it because reasons?

Williams at least had the right idea, that there will never be enough permanent low income housing come online fast enough, and it's too expensive anyway. So they need these transitional pod communities and things like that for homeless to go.

I think this will take at least 2 years to fix.

Probably not too bad now. No one cares much anymore what happens to this core of anarchists. I expect over the next 6 months as things open up, for the business community to start to put more and more pressure on the city to resolve the vandalism issue.

I hope you are correct in that assessment.

I am amazed at how passively non-engaged the overall Portland community is. In light of witnessing their own town getting crapped on for such a long period of time I cannot believe there has not been more "vigilantism," for lack of a better word.

Since city leadership will not solve anything, I am surprised the people themselves have not pushed back against these 100-200 cretins.

I'm just back from Portland. Honestly I don't think the problem with the city is Wheeler or the city council. Wheeler strikes me as a follower who will go where the money is and do what the money wants. He is not the cause or origin of anything. Now that people are beginning to come out of hibernation he is stirring a bit.

The people there seemed to have turned inward to an extreme degree. It's as if they don't even see or care what happened to the city.

A man who may or may not have been the archenemy of BLM/Antifa, Andy Ngo, was chased down and beaten yesterday by Portland peaceful demonstrators. He finally took refuge in a hotel.

“Suddenly, a foot chase broke out — with around a dozen people chasing the person they believed to be Ngo away from the Justice Center. The man attempted to seek refuge in several buildings but was eventually tackled to the ground and struck repeatedly. His goggles and cape were torn from him. “

Entire Portland Police Rapid Response Crowd Control Team Resigns

“A team lieutenant called Chief Chuck Lovell to inform him the members of the team, who serve voluntarily in the assignments, voted to resign due to perceived lack of support from City Hall and from the district attorney over the past year during more than 100 consecutive nights of protest coverage, according to the mayor’s office and officers.”

These failed humans are not protesting anything, they are angry at the world for their personal failures and seek only to destroy society in a resentful, petulant temper tantrum against the world they cannot cope in
Absolutely worthless humans they are.
