Any suggestions for great public or community lap swimming pools within ~25 miles of Portland? I think I read somewhere that Vancouver has a really nice indoor one, and I think one in Forest Grove or Hillsboro?

I'm not sure that we're ready to move from a single family house to a condo or apartment complex just to take advantage of the community pool, but I'm also wondering whether there are neighborhoods of single family homes that have a community pool as part of the deal?

As always, thanks in advance.

The best? Probably the one closest to you. Here's an interactive map.

I've heard good things about the Clackamas Aquatic Park, it's indoors so year round unlike others. I seem to recall a nice one in Pregon City as well, indoors, maybe at the Y? The cool thing with each is they have lots of glass on the walls so you feel "outdoors" even in the winter or rainy days.

I just climbed out of the Stevenson, WA pool. (a stretch for 25 miles) It is terrific, but planning to be closed... (funding thing...). For the $2.30 admission it is worth the drive on a pretty day (Sunset was great from Cape Horn).

I used to use HTM Aqua center, as it has a 50 M pool and diving platforms
THPRD: Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District - connecting people, parks & nature in Beaverton, Oregon

Supposedly a new swim center opened eastside last week (but I can't find info, heard on radio while driving)

Some folks use MHCC in Gresham (but I've never tried that)
