I couldn't let her lie to the boyfriend and his family. That would be absolutely horrible for them. And as the mother of a boy, I would be FURIOUS. It would totally destroy his senior year as well as changing hers, and unlike her, he wouldn't have been given a choice. For him, it's real. That's hideously selfish.

The boyfriend knew. He, the mother and the school principals were the onyl ones who knew.

But to get back to the question... I might. I'd counsel her against it but if she really wanted to do this (and for a social studies project, not because she thought "pregnancy is cool"), then I might let her do it, but I would want close family to know.

The only part I'd object to is not telling the boys parents what was going on.

Okay. Then do I read you right that his family didn't know? I would have to kill ds if he pulled that kind of stunt. Slowly and painfully.

Yes, apparently the boyfriend kept the seceret and the poor parents thought there was going to be a grandson. She also lied to her 6 siblings. I am with you on that one...

That is ca-RAZY!!!!!!! His poor, poor parents! How could he do that to them? The school official was aware of what was going on and allowed him to LIE to his parents about such a life-changing issue?! What in the name of God goes on in schools today?! Frankly, he's lucky he was not a member of my family since the truth would have come flying out of him - and fast - as a life saving measure (for himself) upon my first reaction when this farce began.

Well, it's not a social experiment if everyone is in on it. Everyone freaking about it afterwards is even more interesting social information for them to add to their report.
