Yeah.. and names are probably even crazier 10 years later.

Long been my opinion that there should be a requirement for a literate nurse to sign off on names. Or at least attest to the fact they asked the mom, "Do you really want to spell it like that?"

Both old-fashioned classic names that never go out of style.

AND Olivia is on the list for most popular “ultra feminine” baby names in the world & so is Ava. IMO, Ava is a little more unique tho. If we have a boy, I like Liam but my husband already has a nephew with that name so can’t do that. Other popular “traditional” names are Henry & William but I don’t really like either of those.

Liam IS William without the Wil. It's the Irish for William. I like Henry if they leave it Henry and don't make it Hank or Harry.

Ava is old fashioned, but it did get popular over the past dozen years or so.

My mother, born in 1928, was Charlotte. It was the name of her aunt, her grandmother, and her great-grandmother. She hated it. When the Brit royals named their princess Charlotte, she couldn't understand "why they would give that baby such an old-lady name".

My daughter has an old-fashioned name, and she was the only one in her school from K through 12 with that name. She grew up in a sea of Ashleys, Caitlins, and Chelseas, so I was glad she had something different.
