Even though Great Lakes would only fly you to Los Angeles (LAX) or Denver (DEN), as long as your ticket is with one of the following airlines, you will be able to get seamless connections to your final destination:

- AIR NEW ZEALAND
- ALASKA AIRLINES
- AMERICAN AIRLINES
- BEMIDJI AIRLINES
- BWIA WEST INDIES AIRWAYS
- CAYMAN AIRLINES
- CZECH AIRLINES
- DELTA AIRLINES
- FRONTIER AIRLINES*
- HORIZON AIR
- MESABA AVIATION
- MEXICANA AIRLINES
- UNITED AIRLINES*
- US AIRWAYS*
- VARIG
- WIDEROE'S FLYVESELSKAP ASA

*These airlines have a codeshare ticketing agreement with Great Lakes Airlines, which means you can purchase your ticket through one of these carriers, and if your one-way or round trip includes a Great Lakes Airlines Flight, your full itinerary will be on one ticket.

Additionally, all of these airlines above have a baggage agreement with Great Lakes Airlines. This means that your baggage will be checked to your final destination, as long as you have a ticket with one of the above carriers. If you are connecting in Denver or Los Angeles with one of the above carriers and have not already checked in online, the Great Lakes Airlines ticketing agent in Prescott will gladly assist you with getting your connecting boarding pass.

Did she give the person who did make the arrangements any parameters? Not sure what your point is.

But, all the connections explains why so many people fly into and out of Phoenix and take one of the ground shuttles to Prescott.

Airline employment is not a great career field any more. What with pay cuts, hour cuts, layoffs, benefit cuts, pension defaults (and freezes), fake bankruptcies, etc........

As a result, airlines do not attract the sharpest job applicants. And, the sharpest employees see the writing on the wall and leave for more secure and better-paying employment, leaving only the "not-so-sharp" working there.

.

We don't even know that it was an airline employee who made the arrangements. Let's not stray farther from the topic...

I don't get it. She arrives at 6pm on one day and leaves at 5:30am on another day. What's the problem?

Thanks for all the great information, this has been a real eye-opener for me! I will definitely research the option to fly out of Prescott on my next trip. The drive to and from Phoenix is a chore, it would really be worth a lot to spare myself that drive, plus all the parking hassle, etc.

Default Dangerous if only 1 pilot flying into and out of Prescott

We usually fly from LAX to Skyharbor (Phoenix) when coming to Prescott, at least when we don't drive there from S. CA. My question: Are there only 1, or indeed 2 pilots flying on Great Lakes Airlines (pilot and a co-pilot)? The reason is I remember when flying on a 12 seater in Alaska years ago, the pilot had angina pains and if they were any worse, the pilot would have died, and the plane would have crashed. I would feel a LOT better if there were therefore 2 pilots, instead of one. I know a depressing subject, but there have been deaths with a plane and only 1 pilot, with no one else to take over if the worse happens.

When flying to and from Prescott from LAX, are there 2 pilots or just one? I've heard of going on smaller commercial planes with one pilot who got a heart attack and died. Very uncommon, but you don't ever encounter this problem on a larger commercial flight with the standard pilot and copilot. If just one, I'd rather fly to Phoenix. Safer.
