Great job, everyone. No new cases in the county in the last couple of days. That's not to say there won't be more, but its a sign that cases are peaking here.

I hope you're right. Interestingly enough, it's odd to see how different Prescott is handling the issue vs where I live in SoCal. 98% of people here are wearing masks everywhere (I'm one of the 2% that wears one 10% of the time). However, I was just in Prescott to meet with our home builder and no way were even 5% of the people we encountered wearing masks....which didn't bother me one bit. Even restaurant employees didn't have masks on at the two places we went.

As long as Medicare is reimbursing hospitals 13000 for simple COVID-19 diagnosis, and 39000 if the patient needs a ventilator, you can bet there will be many more cases..read there is a lot of arm twisting going on regarding death certificates..follow the money.

Don't be so confidant this virus is going to disappear on its own. It is lurking everywhere. I am dumbfounded as to why people are not wearing masks in Yavapai County. United States had the highest number of people contacting the virus and the highest deaths than any other country. Those people who feel brave to shop and mingle after May 1st, feel free to do so but I won't be one of them. I have lower respiratory disease. I will be one of the people who dies.

I agree. This virus will NOT disappear and is likely to be seasonal, with AT LEAST 12-18 months before we get a vaccine. I wear a mask when I go shopping and am going to continue to do so for a while. I just saw one projection for AZ that doesn't put our peak until April 27th so if that's true we have a ways to go yet.

I have seen this posted on several websites I visit. While technically factual, it is completely meaningless as it doesn't take into account how large our population is. This is why our population is so clueless. They just see a number posted on TV and run with it without taking ALL FACTORS into account. Worse yet, they spread it around and elect people like Nancy Pelosi.

The USA has 1611 positive cases per million people. We have a fatality rate of under 4%. None of these numbers take into account the millions of people who have been exposed and never showed symptoms. Even the health professionals expect a final fatality rate of below 2%.

Spain has 3551 positive cases per million people and a fatality rate of 10%

Italy has 2518 positives cases per million people and a fatality rate of 11%

Switzerland has 2600 cases per million people

Luxembourg has 5224 cases per million people, triple the USA

20,500 people have died from Covid19 so far. Meanwhile heart disease kills 1744 per day so it takes 12 days to surpass Covid19's toll yet I see people everyday pulling down their face masks to smoke or stuff their pie hole with fast food. When we ban cigarettes and fast food, I'll believe people are concerned about others dying. Meanwhile, our economy is tanking, millions are out of work and wondering how they are going to pay their bills and the suicide rate has jumped.

Stuffing your pie hole with cigarettes and fast food is killing yourself, spreading COVID is killing others. Big difference.

Second hand smoke kills 41000 people per year in the US.

You’re not killing anybody if you don’t have the virus. You’re making assumptions. People die every day and will continue to do so. You can stay inside for decades if that’s makes you feel better and safer. Many experts have said the virus is going to be “out there” for a year or more. I guess you’re ready to hibernate all that time.

I have a choice if I want to eat fast food, I have a choice what I place in my mouth. I do not eat fast food and sugar. I eat whole foods and organic veggies and fruit and meat. So, when I step outside in the public my fear is those who feel they are not one of those who will die from this virus, not wearing a mask or gloves and cough and expose me to their germs, I am at the mercy of those people. Let's not make this virus political, it is what it is a potentially dangerous virus and I am one of the people who will die from this virus because people are not taking this virus serious. I have a lung disease.

So, please be careful and protect yourself from others and wear a mask and gloves. Don't be stupid.
