I've heard rumors of a soft opening end of this month and grand opening Jan 2022.

I see by the colors and such that A&W will be part of the gas station.

I see the last couple of days that they have had the truck fountain running and now they are stringing flags to get your attention, I assume to a partial opening.
They also have a sign up in the A&W area stating that they are hiring.

It's awful cold out there but I still think I could handle a root beer float!

Agreed, I love root beer.

However, we need more shopping options up north besides gas stations and car washes. Majority of southbound traffic towards Hwy 69 for grocery purchases increases commute time and its only going to get worse (Glassford Hill Rd). One centralized area isn't sufficient.

I agree with you, but demand will bring change.
With all the houses that have been built and those that are being built I am thinking change will come.

Change? I'm not a fan of strip mall after strip mall but that area is YEARS behind in commercial development. There are sooooo many houses out there that there should have been at least a full service grocery store and drug store (CVS, Walgreens, etc...) built long ago. It's not like there's not enough vacant land.

Seems like A&W has been pretty crowded, might wait until Thursday after work and buy something. Their root beer at the restaurants tastes way better than the canned product. I hope this entices more commercial development along the east side of Viewpoint Dr. Wouldn't mind getting a Jersey Mikes or Raising Canes across the street. The less driving south on Glassford Hill Rd near Hwy 69, the better.

Just ate there today, it was packed. Great root beer, fresh and fizzy out of the fountain unlike the canned soda. Burger was good along with the fries, will definitely go back next time for root beer float. I think Pronghorn Plaza will spur more commercial development and a grocery store in the future for north Prescott Valley
