This thread is for humor and\or speculation.

Based upon the past history of astute decision making....I figure the Vikings will replace Childress with him.

i don't see another HC'ing job coming his way. i think his niche is coordinating defense, and he'll most likely find another Def Coordinating gig by the off-season.

Maybe they will hire him to coach the Texas Longhorns....then he won't have to worry about a salary cap.

Phillips is not a natural head coach and that should have been plain to see after he, as a mature coordinator, took the reins in Denver years ago. He's a great defensive coordinator and will land on his feet somewhere and do a great job, it just won't be as a head coach.

Yeah, Phillips is done as a head coach. Someone will eventually hire him as a coordinator, but not a head coach.

I think the Cowboys will eventually replace him with a John Gruden or some big name college coach.

I don't really see Gruden leaving his gig with ESPN unless someone pays him stupid money. He sounds like he's really enjoying that whole six-figures, zero-stress, one-day-a-week, best job in the world thing and he's actually a pretty good color guy. He may not be a John Madden, but still pretty danged good.

To me, Cowher seems like a better fit for that organization than any of the Walsh/Holmgren minions but I'm sure that Jerry Jones is never going to ask for my input on the matter...

Also, after watching the Giants game Garrett may actually be able to earn that job...
